Gochujang Caramel Cookies

Ingredients:

For the gochujang caramel:
- 35g gochujang
- 15g butter
- 26g brown sugar

For the dough:
- 100g butter
- 200g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 vanilla extract
- 3g salt
- 2g baking powder
- 1g cinnamon
- 185g flour

Instructions:
1. Blend the gochujang, 15g soft butter, and brown sugar together until smooth to create the gochujang caramel.
2. In another bowl, mix together the 100g butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and flour to create the cookie dough.
3. Fold the gochujang caramel into the cookie dough, but don't fully combine—leave streaks of the spicy mixture throughout.
4. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake at 180°C for 11-13 minutes until the edges are set but centers are still chewy.

What the diagram shows that a list of steps doesn't

What goes into each step

Every ingredient is connected to the step that uses it, together with its quantity. No scrolling back up to the ingredient list.

What can run in parallel

Separate branches do not depend on each other. In the example, the gochujang butter and the cookie dough are two branches that only meet when you fold them together.

Where you are

Tick off ingredients and steps while you cook. The tree shows what is done and what comes next.

How it works

  1. Copy the recipe text

Copy the ingredients and instructions from a recipe website, a document or your notes and paste them into the converter.

  2. Let it convert

An AI model reads the text and builds the tree. This usually takes about a minute.

  3. Adjust and save

The result opens in the editor, where you can adjust ingredients, quantities and steps to your taste before you save the recipe.

On your phone it is easier: in the Treecipes app you share a recipe page straight from the browser instead of copying the text. Get the app
